PEAK MOUNTAIN COTTAGES AND RETREAT

Located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina, we have two charming cottages and a lodge on 300 acres in Mitchell County in the Penland area only about 3 miles from Spruce Pine and about 7 miles from  the Blue Ridge Parkway.  We're on Rabbit Hop Road off  US 19E.

We're a lovely setting for a vacation in one of the cottages.  Or bring your group for a retreat or family reunion at the lodge which sleeps up to 25 people.

The cottages with two suites each which can be rented together or separately, are situated at an elevation of about 3000 feet at the base of “The Peak” mountain in a cove by two clear cool mountain creeks  which ramble between and behind them.    There are hiking trails and picnic spots with long range views on the property including a view of  the Black Mountain Range of which Mt. Mitchell (tallest mountain east of the Mississippi) belongs.

Part way up The Peak  is the lodge which is a lovely location for small group church retreats, family reunions, seminars, etc.  The lodge has porches or a deck on all sides and a large stone fireplace and sleeps up to 25.

Explore as many acres as you like or just picnic by the creek, roast marshmallows in the outdoor fireplace, or nap under the shade of our wonderful North Carolina trees.
